APRIL ALFONSO

About

I am April Alfonso, a content producer with nearly four years experience in Digital Marketing. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Animation from De La Salle-College of St. Benilde.

I previously worked as a Content Marketing Specialist for Anderson Group BPO, Inc. for around three (3) years. While there, I was able to manage projects that range from our monthly newsletters, social media ad campaigns, whitepapers, scripts, storyboards, data research, blogs, infographics, Youtube channels and the like. I mostly handled our recruitment social pages and client accounts on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter and provided support to our website as well.

When our Senior Content manager changed jobs towards the end of 2019, I also took over our overall content marketing strategy and reporting, wherein I re-distributed our task loads, fixed targets and trackers, and continued organizing our workflows. I worked mostly with Google Docs, Sheets, Photoshop, HootSuite, Mailchimp, Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics, and Youtube Studio. The latter task included collaboration with the rest of the marketing team seniors. Our department was unfortunately retrenched due to the pandemic last July 2020.

Before that, I was hired as a Graphic Designer at a non-profit, World Vision International. I was later promoted as a Project Assistant on the project that lasted nine months. As a Graphic Designer, I mostly worked with InDesign and Photoshop but as a Project Assistant I worked in Excel.

I took up a freelance project as a lay out artist for a 3-month project at Caven Studios just after graduation. I did my OJT at Toon Bro Studios where I worked on short animations such as the Bruce Project. My thesis was a stop motion film which I worked on from start to end.

In my spare time, I work on projects with volunteer groups. I am a regular volunteer at CCF where I mostly serve as a video editor. In 2018, I worked with iVolunteer Philippines creating weekly social media posters and producing marketing materials for Bayanirun 2018. I also volunteered as a graphic designer for Project Tanaw's COVID-19 Response. Most of my work is done through Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Adobe Audition, and Premiere Pro. I am currently learning to code basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python using Visual Studio and GitHub to further expand my skills in data storytelling.
